UWCI’s Indianapolis Case Management Institute Application is Now Open

United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications to fill the sixth cohort of the Indianapolis Case Management Institute (ICMI)!

ICMI is a six-month, professional development program for case managers who serve low-income individuals and families with a homelessness prevention and intervention focus. The Institute provides case managers from all educational and professional backgrounds an opportunity to grow and renew. ICMI is an initiative of UWCI with funding provided by Lilly Endowment, Inc. UWCI has enlisted Community Solutions, Inc. to manage this professional development series since 2011.

The Institute is being offered at no cost to up to 20 participants. Additionally, participating case managers and their employers will receive incentives for participation. Please share this information with your case management staff members and invite those who are interested to apply to participate in this opportunity.

Participants who complete all requirements will receive a certificate of completion, a $500 stipend, and will be invited to serve as a mentor to future training participants. We recognize that allowing a member of your team to participate places a burden on your resources. Therefore, if a case manager from your organization participates in the institute, your agency will receive a grant of $1,500 to offset some of the costs incurred for time away from the agency.

Participants are expected to attend all sessions and should not apply if there are known scheduling conflicts. We have attached the ICMI calendar so that applicants can hold these dates on their calendar until they are notified of selection. Please make sure that the applicant and the applicant’s supervisor are aware of this critical requirement.

Applications may be submitted through our online portal www.ctkodm.com/uwci using username CMAPP (all caps) and password CMAPP (all caps). Prior to submitting an application, please complete the attached CM Application document. You will be prompted to upload the completed document in the online portal, in addition to a resume. The deadline for submissions is Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. We will notify all applicants of our decisions on Friday, November 18, 2016. Please contact me at sarah.zike@uwci.org or 317-921-1331 with questions.
